Programs & Classes Offered

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING:

  SBTD House, located in Branson, MO is a sober living home that caters to post alcohol rehab and drug rehab clients along with Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. A sober living home provides the needed structure to live a sober life and transition back into society and employability. Group housing in a structured setting is vital to our client's recovery. Each member is required to pay rent, assist in house maintenance and interact with others with a goal towards self-sufficient living upon completion of program. 

WAY OUT WORKSHOP: 

  Developed in 1998 as a classroom style, understandable and interactive presentation of the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Offered to willing participants as an opportunity to experience recovery as was offered in 1939 when the program of AA documented a 75% success rate.

SPIRITUAL SKILLS CLASSES:

  A weekly offering of life-altering opportunities for the church-goer as well as church damaged and non-churched to enter into and develop a relationship with our Creator under their own terms. In addition to our classes, we hold weekly worship services featuring praise, prayer and proclamation of God's Word.

PEER COUNSELING:

  Members of SBTD, recovered alcoholics and addicts commit to spending regular weekly sessions with clients to aid them in their recovery and growth.

JOB and LIFE SKILLS PROCUREMENT/DEVELOPMENT:

  Assistance is given to each member as required to find and keep a job while a part of the program. Working with local employment agencies, clients are assisted in personal resume development, job procurement and life skils.

VETERAN'S ASSISTANCE:

  200,000 Veteran men and women of our Armed Forces are homeless every night in our country; over 2/3 of them struggle with alcohol and substance abuse problems; 50% of them suffer from mental health issues. AND 22 perday are comitting suicide. 

  Standing By The Door Recovery Ministry is just minutes away from Branson's VA Community Health Care Clinic. in addition to our other services, we offer our Veterans assistance with any special needs that they may incur.
